King Day Afterschool Workshop

For this project, Building Understand volunteer facilitator Claudia Shorr guided a Jewish afterschool class through activities and a story about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in honor of the important national holiday that commemorates Dr. King's life work. Workshop themes included recognizing the strength in both our commonalities and our differences, and learning about the civil rights movement -- how we can play a role in continuing the work today.
